"El concierto de Juan Diego en Macchu Pichu serà el 8 de abril pero del 2012! Se han equivocado. El 8 de abril 2011 estará en N. York (cantando Le Comte Ory) con el Ory y el 9 es la funciòn por la tarde que va transmitida en los cines....." dice Palacio vía e-mail a Opera Perú.

(EFE). El reconocido tenor peruano Juan Diego Flórez cantará en las inmediaciones de Machu Picchu el próximo abril de 2012, como parte de las celebraciones por el centenario del descubrimiento de la ciudadela inca, informó el ministro peruano de Cultura, Juan Ossio.
El objetivo de dicha presentación, a la que solo asistirá la prensa nacional e internacional, será promocionar las populares ruinas incaicas, principal punto de atracción turística del país sudamericano.
“La idea es poder traer a periodistas internacionales y por medio de ellos hacer conocer al mundo Machu Picchu como patrimonio cultural de la humanidad y maravilla del mundo moderno. Las celebraciones deben de ser por todo lo alto”, afirmó Ossio, en declaraciones recogidas por la agencia estatal Andina.
El ministro peruano no descartó la presencia de otros artistas nacionales e internacionales durante las celebraciones del centenario de la llegada del explorador estadounidense Hiram Bingham a la ciudadela inca, en 1911.
El director regional de cultura de Cusco, Juan Julio García, agregó que la fecha prevista para el recital del tenor peruano es el 8 de abril.
